A workshop with Margo McLoughlin

Cortes Elementary School library
In this afternoon workshop, designed for creatives of all kinds, we will explore several concrete steps for nurturing our creative energies, including the idea of "the work before the work." Comox Valley writer and storyteller Margo McLoughlin is also a teacher of meditation. Her approach to writing and creativity weaves in a number of strands from the Buddhist tradition, including mindfulness of the body and mindfulness of the mind. By learning how to befriend our habits of hesitation and self-doubt, we uncover the gift of greater self-awareness and the possibility of whole-hearted engagement with our craft.
