Hello everyone!

We are starting up Rooted Chefs again after the Spring break starting April 6th.

For those who do not know, this program is supported by Manson's Hall and is intended to spark enthusiasm and creativity for youth in the kitchen and learn basic skills to help support themselves and their families as they grow. We are now moving into our 4th cohort after so much interest from the kids.

Each cohort is 5 weeks long. The senior and youth programs have an extra day where they sell a meal they make at the Friday Market. Kids learn basic skills and continue to build on these through team challenges in the kitchen and brainstorming creative meal plans. Touching upon the principles of Ayurveda, we explore the interconnections between ourselves, nature and food as made up of the same elements and learn how to support our digestion through food and mindful eating.
