A lack of redundancy in the Raincoast network was responsible for interrupting service during the recent power outage, which will be remedied with new hardware to be installed in the coming weeks.

The majority of the recent service outage was due to a site which runs off grid being isolated from its internet gateway. Once the routing is fixed we can run indefinitely without hydro.

Raincoast is committed to providing quality internet services independent of power outages in the future.
