Pleiotropy describes the ability to have beneficial effects across multiple body systems. Things that are pleiotropic might, for example, be good for your heart, brain, metabolism, and sleep. Nutrients and herbs that are pleiotropic are often touted as “anti-aging.” Is there anything they can do for you?

In this presentation, we’ll consider five special supplements with broad health-promoting—pleiotropic—effects, the history and science behind them, and their appropriate and safe use as we age.

We’ll also have time to discuss other supplements that may be on your mind.
