Everyone is welcome to meet with us on Wednesday, Feb 18, 2:00 - 3:30 pm in the Pioneer Room of the Mansons Hall.
Our meeting topic this Wednesday will focus on Demystifying After-Death Paperwork. Margaret Verschuur will provide a clear overview of how to obtain a Burial Permit and Death Certificate, a Transport Permit, apply for the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Death Benefit, and use the BC After a Death Checklist. The process is more straightforward than many people expect, and this presentation will help make it manageable and easy to understand.
The DeathCare Collective strives to integrate death as part of life by initiating conversations, providing education, and encouraging people to prepare for end-of-life. We also empower, guide, and support the practice and process of caring for our own dead and dying, in community.
