Dear Community,

We have made big progress at Rainbow Ridge in the last few months. Our Community Building is finished, and we are now using the space to run our office. The building is powered entirely by solar energy while we wait for BC Hydro to complete their design. We look forward to hosting more activities once we are connected to BC Hydro, including getting the community laundry facility up and running.

Our first duplex is now roofed and the fire-resistant siding is almost complete. It will be ready to welcome our first residents this summer!

Framing for the second duplex is well underway and the roof will be finished by the end of January. These homes will be completed by Fall.

The laundry club in the community building aims to support Cortes residents that don’t have access to laundry or bathing facilities.

We are so thankful to our wonderful crew and the many volunteers and donors who are making this vision a reality.
