Rooted Chefs is a program created to inspire youth in the kitchen, and open their senses to the world of culinary creation. Rooted in mindfulness, fun and experiential learning, we build on skills each week with new and creative ingredients. We explore the different tastes, learn about the elements and how the qualities of the food we eat influence the qualities of our bodies and minds.
Youth get to cook with the seasons, learn basic cooking preparations and methods, follow recipes and even create their own. Teamwork and collaboration are emphasized, as well as fun challenges to test what they have learned.
