Gratitude and appreciation to all the community members who showed up to support the Cortes Island School Wetland planting day, October 29th. Students and community volunteers planted over 500 Indigenous plants in and around the wetlands. It was a fun filled, educational day, with wetland related education provided by BC Wildlife Federation, Rewilding Water and Earth, and Friends of Cortes Island Society.
The project team extends heartfelt thanks to the remarkable individuals and organizations whose support and dedication made this day a tremendous success. Your efforts have significantly contributed to the restoration of our precious wetland ecosystems. We appreciate your commitment to environmental stewardship and education. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey!
