The Literary Afternoons are set to begin with the first event of this season on Sunday, November 23.

Five Cortes writers will be reading this Sunday afternoon: Jane Newman, Judy Williams, Scott Onstott, Laurel Bohart, and Dancing Wolf.

It will be held at Linnaea from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the Lakeview Room. Thank you for arriving on time so that the readers will be undisturbed. Doors open at 1:40 p.m. After an hour of excellent readings, there will be time to chat with the authors and your fellow attendees while enjoying refreshments.

These afternoons are organized by Seniors Helping Seniors and supported by Cortes Radio, which will broadcast the readings later this month. Donations, either monetary or goodies, are welcome.

Though these afternoons are organized for seniors, younger friends of the writers and family members are welcome to attend.

You may want to bring slippers or warm socks, as the floor can be cold.
