Hunting-curious? Max Thaysen is offering an intro/overview short-course on hunting on Cortes and the region.
2 - 4pm next Saturday, Nov 1st! Meet under the Village Commons Pavilion (behind the radio station)
Max has over a decade of experience hunting. He's learned from a variety of elders and self-study and trial and error. He does not consider himself an expert, but knows enough to introduce newbies to the concepts and basics of getting some meat put-by.
In this free introductory course, we will discuss the methods and philosophy of hunting and learn to look at signs and terrain issues. We will explore awareness, intuition and meditation as core features of a hunter's success. You will be given tips on getting started and an overview of regulations and regulatory hurdles.
