This free, fun, hands-on Fall Gardening workshop in Lu's demonstration garden in Mansons Landing is for all ages! Lu will demonstrate a variety of fertility-building methods especially suitable for fall gardens including sheet mulching, lasagne-style composting in place, green manure cover cropping, local natural resource harvesting and more. Homemade ice cream will be served to all participants at the end of the workshop. Bring garden gloves and wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather. No dogs, please.
About Lucretia:
Lu is a long-time gardener with a special interest in utilizing local, mostly free, natural resources for building soil health and plant resilience. Lu has been developing a demonstration garden in Mansons Landing since 2005. She is also host of the weekly radio show and podcast "Gabbing about Gardening" on CKTZ. Lu also makes ice cream with the wide variety of berries she grows and forages.
