Quadra Island Conservancy and Stewardship Society and Sierra Quadra are pleased to announce a fundraiser being held on October 18 at the Community Centre. The guest speaker is world-renowned scientist and environmental activist Dr. David Suzuki. David's talk offers his unique perspective and challenges us to meet the mounting chaos of our times. Doors open at 7 p.m. for desserts, tea and coffee; David's books will be available for purchase and signing until 7:30. Tickets at the door for a suggested donation of $20; youth 18 and under, free of charge.
