Dear Community,
We have made so much exciting progress at Rainbow Ridge in the past month!
The Community Building is nearing completion (the photo below shows kitchen cabinets from local company
Stag + Boar). Despite the cloudy weather, we are operating with 100% solar power, which was installed by
Wired Electrical. Alan Kohl with A-Frame Painting is almost done painting the interior.
C Fauchon is completing installation of the heat pumps.
On the site, Matt Cuscianna is wrapping up the installation of our septic system.
We have started construction of our first homes. Walker the Plumber has installed the under-slab plumbing, so now our team, working with support from
Island United and
Valley Creative Concrete will be pouring the foundation for first duplex! We are grateful to
Quadra Builders for supplying us with construction materials along with Ron Wolda and Henry Verschuur for milling all of the wood for our buildings, much of which has been donated.
We are very grateful to all of the talented tradespeople who have joined in our efforts to make this dream of Rainbow Ridge a reality as well as our wider community for all of your support. You can follow our construction progress
here.
May the momentum continue!
