What the fish have to teach us about adapting to times of crisis with Dr. Zoe Todd
Fri-Oct-3rd, 8-9pm, in Raven
This short talk will explore some of the themes from my course on Critical Indigenous Fish Philosophy at Simon Fraser University, where we explore Dr. Leroy Little Bear's instructions for us 'to ask the scientific formulae the fish have discovered'.
Delving into various miraculous things fish have discovered — from walking on land to creating electricity, to navigating through magnetism and innovating eyesight and acoustic organs, we'll think collaboratively about what fish have overcome in the last 510 million years on earth and how this can help guide us through our current moment of global upheaval.
