MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD

Board Update:

A warm welcome to the new CISS board, who were elected on June 17, 2025. Elizabeth Anderson is the new President, with Bill Weaver as Vice President and Carol London as Secretary and Treasurer. The other directors are Bruce Partridge, Huong Luu, Karen Mahon and Trygve Ellingsen. The previous CISS board will serve on an advisory committee, with efforts focused on organizing Christmas dinner, carpet bowling, and other activities.
To learn more about your new board, please visit
https://cortescommunityhousing.org/our-team/ page.

Seniors Village Update:

The Seniors Village has been approved for the CleanBC rebate program and can make energy efficiency upgrades at a greatly reduced rate. Last week, the original six units had extra insulation blown into the attics to increase the R-value from 30 to 50. We hope that residents will experience an increase in comfort and a decrease in their hydro bills this winter.
