The Cortes Forestry General Partnership (CFGP) will host a public meeting on September 29 at Mansons Hall from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
The meeting will also be open to people via Zoom at the following link:
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/2649208208?omn=87838899701The purpose of the meeting will be to go over the new draft Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP), and present upcoming plans in the community forest.
The FSP is a legally required planning document that is updated every five years and is available for viewing on the CFGP website.
The CFGP is a 50-50 partnership between the Klahoose First Nation and Cortes Community Forest Cooperative (CCFC). The CFGP holds the community forest license on Cortes Island and its board is comprised of three directors appointed by each of the partners. Decision making at the six member CFGP board is by consensus.
