Another successful summer season at the Gallery is once again complete.....Time to take a breath before turning thoughts to next year.

Many thanks go to the talented and resourceful artists who put in the considerable time and energy required to take their art to the community...John Mottishaw, Naomi Cairns, Ayami Stryck, Zaeya Winter, Kristen Scholfield-Sweet and the 26 local artists who participated in the Annual Member's Show.

Thank you, as always, to the Gallery Board who continue to oversee and coordinate and put in the hard work necessary to keep the Gallery successfully running. Ayami Stryck, Christann Kennedy, Janet Turpin, Kristen Scholfield-Sweet, Lynne Barker, Meinsje Vlaming, Pamela Boles. Special accolades to Christann and Ayami who stepped up their participation when life threw some curve balls and to Kristen who ably reviewed each show giving us clues on how to look at art with fresh eyes.

Thank you to Soma Feldmar who volunteered, not only to participate in, but to take on the responsibility for our new offering...the third Friday Literary Night. Her involvement with the Gallery is very much valued.

And a very special thanks to Bruce Stryck who did a beautiful job of mowing the not inconsiderable field and keeping the gallery looking tidy and welcoming for each show. We are very grateful to Bruce, not only for looking after us so well, but in saving us money, too.

And to the Cortes Community.....thank you for showing up to gather and view and participate and appreciate excellent local art. We wouldn't be doing this without your ongoing and very welcome support.
