Mama'Sikai offers sensitive, yet playful, and above all, exploratory and improvisational sound journeys; each sonic-sharing a unique experience in itself.
Essentially, the music Mama'Sikai shares is inspired by the soothing influences of sound on the human psyche. All the trio's pieces are spontaneously original, inspired by the healing potential of the beneficial sound frequencies, carried through the elemental themes of Water, Air, Fire, Earth, Nature, across a wide array of music genres, including Jazz, Flamenco, Celtic, Latin, Calypso, Skaa, and more.
Mama'Sikai's demo recordings span this eclectic range, mostly instrumental, with many including Joanna’s unique vocalizations, beyond conventional lyrics - the human voice, itself, utilised as a powerfully evocative instrument.
Altogether, these sonic journeys form Mama'Sikai's one-of-a-kind style through ambient soundscapes.. especially well-suited to quieter 'mixer' type events, and a freshly unique choice for eclectic festival lineups and special events.
