Beaver coexistence infrastructure will be installed in Kw’as Park. The Kw’as Park Beaver Coexistence project will reduce flooding and disaster risk at beaver dam locations at Kw’as Park and Kw’as Bay Rd. The project will promote beaver coexistence and climate adaptation and will maintain and conserve 2.1 hectares of wetland and riparian habitat. Three pond levelers and one culvert protection fence will be installed to achieve these aims. This is a Strathcona Regional District project and is funded and executed as described in the attached poster. We are soliciting proposals for educational signage to accompany the installations.
