Our amazing UVic intern Ilse Martinez has created some incredible tools:
🕰️ Visual Timeline - Interviews with long-time islanders documenting environmental changes over time. Come see the final timeline at Manson's Hall, Saturday Aug 23, 1-3PM!
🗺️ Community Mapping - Coming this August! Mark the places you feel are most at risk and want to protect as our planet changes.

🏛️ Climate Townhall Recap - 20 incredible people joined us at Linnaea with Quest Canada facilitation on June 21 to imagine a brighter future together, hear about climate justice and explore our barriers to action. Full report and video coming soon!

🌊 Local ICYMI: Sea-levels could rise by 1.6m or more on the BC coast by year 2100 with continued inaction... This could turn Clytosin (aka Manson's Landing Spit), a local treasure and historical site, into a sandbar. We can't let polluters wreck the spit! Let's goooo! 💪

🔥 Hot News: The International Court of Justice just ruled that countries/leaders have a legal duty to prevent bad climate change, including by corporations within their jurisdiction. Some commentators say this precedent sets the stage for trials holding individual leaders accountable, like Nuremberg after WW2. The ruling "should send shivers down the spine" of the fossil fuel industry and governments that support it. Maybe let your elected leaders know... 🏛️⚖️
