"Blooming on a Shoestring"
Welcome Caz Ratcliffe as she shares stories about her journey to Cortes.
Join us on Sunday, July 20, from 2 to 3:30 pm at the Cortes Island Museum, 957 Beesley Road.
“Freedom and trust have been the threads that led me through three continents, many relationships, deep friendships, and, most of all, joy and adventure. And I did it all on a shoestring budget, unencumbered by over-jammed suitcases, homes, husbands and debts. I will share a few of the stories that led me to Canada and the magic of Cortes.”
Free event, donations appreciated.
It’s a community speaker series, hosted by Brian Scott, celebrating the journeys that bring people to Cortes Island. Each month, local residents will share their personal story – an informal talk followed by an open Q&A.
Stick around afterward for a casual social gathering to meet neighbours, share experiences, and strengthen the bonds that make Cortes Island a special place to live. We look forward to seeing you there. Refreshments will be provided. The event is free; donations are appreciated.
