FRIDAY, JUNE 27: Friday Market at Mansons Hall and Village Commons Celebration!!

Every week, the Mansons Hall Friday Market proudly presents an assortment of artisanal goods and foods, carefully crafted by various skilled vendors. There are a myriad of tables and booths set up both inside the Main Hall and outside in the grassy areas.

Visit us at noon to see what's featured this week (i.e. beautiful hand-made drums and rattles, Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, Oatmeal Cookies, Rosemary Focaccia, Chocolate Brownie Squares, Whole Wheat Bread, Raisin Scones, Apple Butter, Blackberry Jam, Plum Jam, fresh pasta, calzones, sushi, salad rolls, chocolate chip banana bread, chocolate cupcakes, cinnamon buns, take and bake pizza, lemonade, hot coffee and so much more!)


And check out the grand VILLAGE COMMONS OPENING CELEBRATION!

We are thrilled to invite the community to a fantastic day of celebration on June 27 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Village Commons behind the Mansons Hall.

This special event marks the grand opening of our brand-new pavilion, co-working space, and meeting room facilities.

It promises to be an enriching experience for everyone in our community.

As part of this celebration, we have planned a variety of activities:

- Klahoose Cultural performers: singing, drumming and an address by our village leader.

- Friendship Pole: Join us as we officially unveil this beautiful pole.

- Music & Contra Dance: Music will begin and the event as well as a community dance with live music and all ages fun.

- Guided Tours: Explore all our new facilities.

We hope you'll join us to celebrate this new community space. Bring your friends and neighbours. This is a chance to connect, learn more about our facilities, and enjoy some fun activities together.

Parking for the event is available in the Hall parking lot as well as in a new lot between the skate park and the FireHall.

FRIDAY, JUNE 27: Thrift Store

The SCCA Thrift store is open during the Friday Market from 12-3, offering an array of gently-used clothing items for the whole family. It is located down the hall in the Pioneer Room. All items are sold based on suggested donations to the SCCA.


SUNDAY, JUNE 29: Yoga with Kelly

Kelly Benson is currently offering Vinyasa Flow-style yoga in the Om Studio.

TUESDAY, JULY 1: Iyengar-style Hatha Yoga

6-7:30pm, Om Studio

Focus on standing asanas. Good for joints and alignment, back issues, improves stamina, improved sleep and concentration, drop-in ongoing, all levels $20.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 2: T’ai Chi Ch’uan

Judyth Weaver received permission to teach TCC from the school of Grand Master Cheng Man-Ch’ing in 1971, and she has been teaching it regularly around the world since then.

The class will be offered on Wednesdays, from 10am - 11 in the Om Studio.

The classes are free, and all are welcome. Donations to the SCCA and Better at Home/SOS Society are also very welcome.

Tanya aka DJ Liquid Crystal (she/her) from the Pachamama show on Cortes Radio. Brings you a mix of Tribal fusion and medicine music highly influenced by the journey of the Shaman. She brings cacao from Bali shared with heart-opening intent.

Dance Temple is an inclusive, safer, and sacred community space to explore authentic non-verbal expression through ecstatic dance and movement for health and transformation.

Dance Temple is an invitation to tune in to your body, join with other dancers, celebrate, meditate, express and unwind. It is an open dance floor for you to explore different rhythms, sounds, patterns of movement and whatever arises in your inner journey.

All ages, all genders, all bodies, and all parts of YOU are welcome.

Regular Temple Guidelines:
1. Move however you wish
2. No talking on the dance floor
3. Respect yourself and one another

Dance Temple is an alcohol-free and scent-free space. Please also refrain from phones and outdoor shoes.

The facilitators of Dance Temple hold a strong intention to honour movement and dance as an essential and powerful expression of self and connection to others. We acknowledge the healing and creative nature of movement and recognize that fun, play and humour are vital to this practice.
