Join the Museum for this self-guided tour of 17 gardens and artist studios across Cortes Island.
Presenting Chelsea’s and Eckel’s Glass Studio and GardenThe studio and garden are located in a historic property that once housed the general store and Velma Bergman’s famous rock garden. The studio is situated in a restored shed adorned with handmade wooden windows, created by Eckel, which preserve its old-world charm.
Chelsea has been a practicing artist since graduating from Emily Carr University, but she has only recently begun experimenting with glass.
Eckel has added more masonry to the rock garden, while a new fruit and vegetable garden occupies the east side of the road, where once there was only rock.Tickets for the tour: $20 (kids under 12 free) are available now at
