Comox Strathcona Waste Management, Klahoose Aquaculture and Friends of Cortes Island are organizing a whole island BEACH CLEAN UP!

During the month of May we have been asking you to clean up the island’s beaches. Thanks to everyone who has taken part – we are delighted to see that the super sacks put out around the island have been filling up!

This Saturday, June 7th 10am-12.30pm you can bring any garbage you have also collected to an Ocean Legacy Bin at the Klahoose Aquaculture Building (across from the Klahoose health centre). Help with sorting is also very much appreciated.

The attached brochure explains the types of marine garbage that you can bring. Please don’t bring household or other garbage.

Thanks for helping us get the garbage off the beaches, out of the ocean and ..off to be recycled!
