The Cortes Museum’s Spring Bird Migration Event will take place on May 3, 2025, but if you spot an unusual bird the day before, or the day after we want to know that too!
There are 4 ways you can participate in this fun event:
On May 3rd:
1. Be a backyard birder and send your observations to cimascortesmuseum.com
2. Join the main group at either the Museum 9 am, or 286 Seavista at 9:30 am
3. Join the Children’s Forest team of young adult birders to cover the woodlands leading to Carrington Bay & Lagoon. Meet Christine Robinson at 8:00 am at the Children’s Forest trailhead on Carrington Bay Road.
On May 4th: 10:00am - 12:00pm– Our Feathered Friends at Linnaea Farm led by Corry and Christine.
4. For kids & families, a birding workshop will start inside Wild Cortes Exhibit at Raven’s Relations. After listening to some bird calls, we’ll head outdoors and see who we can discover in the fields and along the lakeshore of Linnaea Farm.
Note - Our Feathered Friends will happen instead of the May Children’s Forest walk.
