Whaletown Community Club
Come on down to the Gorge Hall this Saturday where the WCC will be bringing you a high caliber of classical music.
Come experience our grand piano played by Dr. Moira Hope-Ostensen accompanied by Arthur Arnold on Cello.
Arnold is the driving force behind The Mosolov Project, discovering lost manuscripts of the repressed composer Alexander Mosolov in Russian libraries. He performed and recorded Mosolov's Fifth Symphony (1965) and Harp Concerto (1939) in the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, resulting in a CD, released by Naxos.
Arthur Arnold is the co-founder and Artistic Director of the Pacific Region International Summer Music Association (PRISMA Festival & Academy) on Canada’s west coast.
The amazing pianist Moira holds Bachelor and Masters Degrees from the University of Alberta, Canada, in Piano Performance and Literature. She has earned Certification of Advanced Studies, and an Associate Degree from the Royal College of Music (Piano Pedagogy), a Licentiate Degree from the Royal Academy of Music (Piano Performance), London, England and a Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree (Piano Pedagogy) at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth.
This is going to be an amazing show. Doors at 6:30, show 7:30 sharp. Tickets $30 at the door. We hope to see you there.
