FRIDAY, APRIL 4: Friday Market

We’ve got homegrown goodies by a bunch of crafty sellers each and every week. Come on out and see what’s new at the Mansons Hall Friday Market, doors open at noon! 🍪 🧶 🧼 🎁 🤩


FRIDAY, APRIL 4: Thrift Store

The SCCA Thrift Store is open during the Friday Market 12-3 pm with plenty of gently-used merchandise available at clothing items for the entire family to choose from. You will find it down the hall to the Pioneer Room. All items are sold by a suggested donation to the SCCA.


SATURDAY, APRIL 5: Pub Quiz with Benji

Hi folks!

Benji is back at Manson's Hall on Saturday night for another fun team quiz night with all the fixings!

It's an entertaining game show full of laughs, chat, good tunes and mind bending visuals.

Tickets are on the door from 7:00 and the show starts at 7:30!

So what are you waiting fo? Form a team play to win the Cortes Quiz Cup!

MONDAY, APRIL 7: Somatic Awareness for Women

Main Hall 10 - 11:30

We are excited to announce that Judyth will be continuing the Somatic Awareness workshops for Women at Mansons Hall on the 1st Monday of the month. Free of charge.


TUESDAY, APRIL 8: Free Movement and Mobility Class

Free Movement and Mobility for seniors or anyone with mobility issues - 11 am - Om Studio.
This class will focus on small isolated movements and exercises to help keep mobility and movement in the joints.


TUESDAY, APRIL 8: Parents & Tots

All caregivers and little ones (ages 0 to 4+) are invited to drop in for playtime and community connection.
Every Tuesday from 10:30 to 12:30 at Manson’s Hall, Main Hall.

TUESDAY, APRIL 8: Iyengar-style Hatha Yoga

6-7:30pm, Om Studio

Focus on standing asanas. Good for joints and alignment, back issues, improves stamina, improved sleep and concentration, drop-in ongoing, all levels $20.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9: T’ai Chi Ch’uan

T’ai Chi Ch’uan is a low-impact exercise that is ideal for seniors. These slow, gentle movements can improve balance, strength, flexibility, and range of motion and decrease the effects of common degenerative diseases and pains. It is a standing/moving exercise that can be done anywhere, anytime and doesn’t need special clothing or shoes.

Judyth Weaver received permission to teach TCC from the school of Grand Master Cheng Man-Ch’ing in 1971, and she has been teaching it regularly around the world since then.

The class will be offered on Wednesdays, from 10am - 11 in the Om Studio.

The classes are free. Donations to the SCCA and Better at Home/SOS Society are very welcome.

THURSDAY, APRIL 10: Free Community Meal Fundraiser

Sunflower Foods, Better at Home and CCHA Family Support Program present:

All You Can Eat FRESH Pasta Night - Free!
Including pasta, breadsticks, salad and dessert

Thursday, April 10
5:00-6:30pm at Manson's Hall

Sunflower Foods will prepare three different pastas (including a gluten free option) fresh made on island by Trever Bass.

Come and join us for some social time and a delicious meal at the community hall. Take out available for those that cannot stay.

Kids coloring zone and play area.

This is a Better at Home Fundraiser dinner to raise the funds needed to provide low-income, isolated and frail seniors with a ready-to-eat, nutritious meal delivered to their door each week.

You don't need to attend the dinner to donate, and you don't need to donate to attend the dinner. Everyone is welcome.
