Friends of Cortes Island would like to offer huge thanks to the awesome volunteers who turned out for our Broom Bash at Mansons Landing Provincial Park on Saturday.

We managed to remove broom re-growth from the whole of the Spit, including the threatened coastal sand ecosystem, helping to restore the natural vegetation growing here.

Thanks also to BC Parks staff for joining us, and removing the broom off island to be safely disposed.
