Children's Forest Trust
This peek into the wee fascinating world of magnification will explore the life cycles of the major plant groups found on Cortes. Join Liam Baron Preston for a close botanical inspection of mosses, ferns, and trees in an open learning format at the Wild Cortes EcoLab.

Liam grew up on Cortes and completed his BSc in Forest Biology & Environmental Studies, University of Victoria, and MSc in Biological Sciences, University of Manitoba. Liam has an infectious love and knowledge of nature - plants, birds and other wild things.

We will have 3 stereo/microscopes set up with plant samples, but bring other samples you are curious about.

Date & Time - Saturday, March 15, 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

All folks, little or big, are welcome, with or without children.

Wild Cortes will be open 12:00 - 4:00 pm for your pleasure & curiosity.

Sponsored by the Forest Trust for the Children of Cortes Island Society (FTCCIS), proud partner in the Cortes Wild! Partnership - a convergence of community organizations engaged in environmental education programming on Cortes Island.
