You are invited to an information and envisioning event for the Cortes Wood Makerspace.
CWM is a project of Cortes Housing Society aiming to provide a professional woodworking shop accessible to Cortes home owners, builders, hobbyists. It will be specifically geared to facilitate people who are building their shelters with small budget.
CWM will have membership with a small yearly fee. Usage will be a sliding scale pay/hour.

Cortes Wood Makerspace will be set up in the Orchard Village Shop, 671 Sutil Point Rd

The Shopmaster / facilitator will be Hannu Huuskonen.
Hannu is a cabinet maker, carpenter with 20 years of experience working on Cortes Island. He is excited to have the opportunity to be helpful towards alleviating our current housing crisis.

We invite any interested parties to join us at the shop, yet still empty. We’ll tell you all about our plans and invite you to share your thoughts of how you would like to participate.
