Many thanks to all who turned out for another engaging session in
Finding Home: The Cortes Island Experience series.
Ash Henderson generously shared his personal journey of coming to Cortes – from Fairy Creek to "the Gully,” with his dog by his side – and how he is finding his community here, learning skills to create a life and home. After the talk, Shirley Beaulieu shared her memories of Cortes as we gathered around a wonderful retirement album gifted to her by her dad, Ernie, a beloved school bus driver for over thirty years.
Thank you, Ash and Shirley!
Many thanks to Brian Scott for organizing this event and to Cortes Radio for helping to edit, broadcast, and archive this session.
Stay tuned for more personal tales of Finding Home!
