Dear Cortesians

We are delighted to welcome you again to the Winter Light Spiral.

In honour of Jen Stevens who originally offered it to the Cortes Community with Alanah Caron.

Darshan Stevens, Alanah and Friends are inviting you, on Winter Solstice, Saturday, Dec 21 at 2:30 p.m., to another gentle and magical candle lit afternoon at Manson's Hall.

Please join us in this ancient and reverent Celebration.

Candles are provided.

New this year is that Mark and Madhurima Braaten will lead us in some Community Singing during the Walking of the Light Spiral.

Claudia and Sherman will provide musical accompaniment.

The Winter Light Spiral is made of evergreen boughs laid upon the floor. Each of us will have the opportunity to walk to the Centre and light a candle. While walking back to your seat you place your candle anywhere on the Spiral.

People often have an Intention, an Affirmation, a Prayer, a Letting Go....... upon lighting their candle.

Families are most welcome.

There will also be a few poems shared, acknowledging both the Darkness and the Light

Doors open at 2:30 and we will begin at 2:45

We should be complete around 4:00 p.m.

PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY OR ON TIME

BY DONATION All proceeds beyond Hall rental/candles will be donated to the Playschool.
