A new report from the Auditor General of Canada found that Canada is not providing the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada with enough funds to assess the number of Species at Risk.

With the current budget " it would take almost 30 years for the committee to assess the species currently prioritized and over a century to assess those that are potentially at risk.”

Of course by that time there will be more threatened species.
