This is a reminder to watch out for the newts! Newts are crossing the roads on their fall migration. Please keep watch for them.
Please drive carefully and do your best to avoid running over them - they look like small upturned leaves, or twigs on the roads.
Yellow and black 'Newt X-ing' signs are mounted in areas considered 'hotspots' of larger newt migrations, close to wetlands. However, newts can be spotted all around the island, and newt crossings can be up to 1km long.
