Join Max Thaysen and Christine Leclerc for an interactive online workshop exploring ambitious climate solutions.

We often hear about the need for increased climate ambition, but what does that actually mean? What will it take to keep warming to safe(ish) levels? How do different emissions reduction targets and solutions affect our community?

In this workshop, Max will introduce emissions targets and the concept of a fair share. Participants will also explore the Climate Equity Reference Calculator, a tool for calculating Canada's fair share emissions target.

Christine will guide participants through the En-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator, a dynamic tool developed by MIT Sloan and Climate Interactive. En-ROADS allows users to explore the impacts of various policy and technology choices on global warming and carbon emissions. Together, we will examine community carbon budgets, adjust factors like renewable energy, land use, and agricultural practices, and see how these changes affect global temperature rise. This tool provides valuable insight into how different decisions contribute to specific climate outcomes, highlighting pathways to limit warming while supporting agriculture.
