Hi Everyone,

Over the past six months Strathcona Regional District staff have been collecting our feedback to update the Cortes Zoning Bylaw.

Our zoning bylaw assigns zones to land and water within Cortes Island and specifies what kind of development and activities are permitted within each zone.

This update is important to the future of housing on Cortes and I hope you can join me in attending this event to review the draft and provide feedback to SRD staff:

Thursday, Sept 12th
4:00 - 6:30pm
Manson's Hall

I have not seen this new zoning bylaw draft and, like you, will be reviewing it for the first time at this meeting. I know a lot of you provided input and hope the draft is a positive step forward for our community.

For more details on the zoning review process at the SRD visit: https://srd.ca/cortes-zoning-bylaw-review/

If you are not able to attend this meeting, I will be sharing the draft and will be working hard to make sure the final version passed by the SRD Board accurately reflects the changes we are looking for.
