Taxidermy Demo and Talk with Laurel Bohart
Saturday, September 14, 6 to 8 pmWild Cortes, Linnaea Education Centre, Lakeview Room, 1255 Seaford Road
Laurel will talk about her past in Nigeria, showcase several mounts and study skins from those days, and present her more recent material. She was influenced by her taxidermist grandfather, who showed her how to mount birds when she was thirteen. Eventually, this encouragement and Laurel's own interest led her to open her first business in Duncan decades ago.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see many African birds and some inspired and inventive mounts that would never fit into the Wild Cortes venue.
