Frank Combest passed peacefully in the afternoon of Friday June 28, on Cortes where he had been welcomed into Noba and Zyla Anderson’s home.

Some of you will have come to know Frank over the last forty years here, as he dug clams, farmed oysters, and worked at the Floathouse Restaurant. You may recall that Frank had a few rough edges about him, but in these last few weeks he found what he was looking for. First, the ability to say how sorry he was for the way that he had treated some people. Then, his feeling of intense gratitude to everyone around him. And his opening to accept all the love surrounding him. He finished up as a beautiful man, in peace.

On Wednesday July 3rd at 2:00 there will be a simple graveside gathering at Manson’s cemetery where Frank had asked to be buried.
Until Wednesday morning, all are welcome to drop by Noba’s place during the daytime to hold vigil for Frank. No need to call ahead, and the house is open to you.
