A recent detailed report by Food Banks Canada indicates that the poverty rate continues to worsen in BC. This is not a blip.

Various indicators show many more people are suffering economic distress. Food Insecurity Rate has declined to an F from a B-. These rates are considerably worse on Cortes.

The Cortes Food Bank will be ramping up our fundraising initiatives to cope with the challenging winter months. Look out for opportunities to help with some new fundraising initiatives. This includes our branded and sturdy grocery bags that will be available at various locations.
