FRIDAY, JUNE 21: Friday Market
Celebrate Summer! Our weekly Friday Market takes place every Friday afternoon from 12 to 3 PM in the Main Hall, with a wide selection of vendors moving outside for the summer.
Indulge in a variety of goods at the market, including baked delights, hand-made jewellery, gems, crystals, artisan soaps, fresh veggies, natural beauty products, sharpening services, delectable sushi, handmade crafts, and fresh pasta. Join us in supporting your local vendors at this beloved weekly event.
FRIDAY, JUNE 21: Thrift Store
The SCCA Thrift Store is open during the Friday Market 12-3 pm with plenty of gently-used clothing items for the entire family to choose from. You will find it down the hall to the Pioneer Room. All items are sold by a suggested donation to the SCCA.
SATURDAY, JUNE 22: Hidden Treasures Market of Wonders (and Sicilian Pasta!)
5-8 pm at Mansons Hall. Vendor tables galore and a delicious meal of Sicilian Pasta Marinara with organic fresh greens (vegetarian, gluten-free available).
Create lasting memories while savouring delicious eats and mingling with local vendors at our vibrant community event!
From exotic and extraordinary to practical and functional: vintage collectibles, art, jewellery, stained glass, giant sheepskin, movie projector, wood and antler carvings from Bali, hill tribe bags from Thailand, and so much more!
All table fees from this event go to the Southern Cortes Community Association.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26: T’ai Chi Ch’uan
T’ai Chi Ch’uan is a low-impact exercise that is ideal for seniors. These slow, gentle movements can improve balance, strength, flexibility, and range of motion and decrease the effects of common degenerative diseases and pains. It is a standing/moving exercise that can be done anywhere, anytime and doesn’t need special clothing or shoes.
Judyth Weaver received permission to teach TCC from the school of Grand Master Cheng Man-Ch’ing in 1971, and she has been teaching it regularly around the world since then.
The class will be offered on Wednesdays, from 11 am till noon in the Om Studio.
The classes are free. Donations to the CISS are welcome.

Join the Cortes Island Community Foundation, board chair, executive director and granting committee chair on June 27th at 4pm in the Pioneer Room.
We will be discussing shared goals, upcoming initiatives and ways to strengthen our Cortes Community.
