Hello Cortes!

I am currently recruiting community members who are involved in social profit, non-profit organizations or the provision of essential services on Cortes to participate in walking interviews. This study seeks to understand how health and wellbeing on Cortes island is impacted by climate events and community responses to them, and how disaster risk reduction measures at the community scale can have co-benefits for human, animal and ecosystem health.

The walking interviews will be conducted on a route of your choice that you feel symbolizes your health in relation to animals and ecosystem on Cortes Island. The interviews will last about 45 minutes each. Should you choose to participate you will be compensated $30 for your time.

If you experience mobility challenges, please let me know and we can conduct the interview in a space of your choice instead.
