Cathie and her late husband Murray have owned their property on Cortes since the late 1950's. Her whole family has for 4 generations loved spending time on the island. Cathie passed away on March 30, 2024 in Campbell River.

An open-house celebration of life will be held at the Maritime Heritage Centre in Campbell River on May 5, 2024, between 2:00 and 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Camp Homewood.
