This past weekend’s Wildlife Coexistence Gathering provided very productive conversation towards future wildlife coexistence work on Cortes Island.

Wild thanks are due to all who supported this initiative:
Grace SoftDeer, Dennis Hetu, Todd Windle, Bob Hansen; our animated presenters & storytellers
Klahoose First Nation for hosting the weekend launch at Klahoose
Klahoose First Nation singers/ drummers for so powerfully celebrating our cultural relationships to our wild kin
Georgina Silby, co-host; instrumental in ensuring storytelling ‘graced’ our weekend!
All participants, for their interest and engagement
Roy Hales, for recording the presentations, which will resurface on Cortes Currents
Nadeige Levesque for her exceptional artwork!
Ruth Riddell & Roland Boudreau for their generous overnight accommodation of our PacRim guest presenters
Noba Anderson & Christine Robinson for dedicated on-site logistical support
Linnaea Farm Society for their newly renovated, seriously... Lakeview venue!

If you have interest/ ambition/ ideas, in the realm of wildlife coexistence, please do not hesitate to shout out!
