MARCH 22: Friday Market

Our weekly Friday Market takes place every Friday afternoon from 12 to 3 PM in the Main Hall. The market features a wide variety of vendors with such rare treats and goodies to offer such as baked goods, gems and crystals, artisan soaps, natural beauty products,, knife-sharpening, assorted handicrafts and fresh pasta! Come on out and support your local vendors; this is one of the island's most-beloved weekly events.

It is currently the low season for vendors, which means that the cost of renting a table has dropped by 50%. Please inquire with the office if you have some quality items to sell, and wish to take advantage of this opportunity. Email officemansonshall.org or call (250) 935-0015.


MARCH 22: Thrift Store

The SCCA Thrift Store is open during the Friday Market 12-3 pm with plenty of gently-used clothing items for the entire family to choose from. You will find it down the hall to the Pioneer Room. All items are sold by a suggested donation to the SCCA.


MARCH 22, 25 & 27: Julie’s Café

Julie’s Café will be open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7am-2pm. Eat in or take out, Julie and Sandy serve breakfast, soups and sandwiches, and baked treats. Cash only please! C'mon down to Mansons Hall for this sweet community Café.


MARCH 22 & 23: Theatre Group

Every Friday and Saturday 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm
At Mansons Hall - OM Studio
Fee: 30$/week
Free for those in a difficult financial situation

MARCH 22: Spring Equinox Cacao, Breathwork and Dance Temple

Are you ready for spring?
I know that I sure am! With this late blast of winter weather I can feel almost an itch in my bones to get out, to move, to dance, to get in the garden and to be in warmth.

On Friday, March 22, we invite you to call spring into your hearts and bones with cacao, breathwork and ecstatic dance. This is a longer than usual event running 6:00-8:30 at Mansons Hall.

The cost for the whole evening is $35
Please note that pre-registration is required to ensure that there is enough cacao for the number of participants

If you wish to join for Dance Temple only, doors will open at 7:00 to invite in others who have not been with us for cacao and ceremony.
$15-$25 at the door for Dance Temple.
No one will be turned away from Dance Temple for lack of funds.


MARCH 23: Hidden Treasures Market

Join us this coming Saturday March 23rd at Mansons Hall for our first Hidden Treasures Flea Market of the year!

Neighbours bring their collectibles and quality pre-loved goods to market, cleaning out their treasure troves and passing on needful things for reuse and recycling through the community.

An Indian feast with Samosas, Butter Chicken and Vegan Dishes, beautiful desserts and great company is served up from 5-8pm.

MARCH 24 & 28: Yoga with Kelly

Kelly Benson is currently offering two yoga classes weekly at Mansons Hall:

Vinyasa Flow Sundays 11:00 am and Thursdays 5:30 pm. All classes are in the Om Studio. For more info email kbrock55yahoo.ca

MARCH 25: Sole On & Soul Forth Dance

A weekly 90 minute Dance for your hungry feet every Monday evening at 7:00 at Mansons Hall. Admission $10.

The World needs more Joy, more Delight, more Love, more Community and dancing is such good medicine.

Dancing Wolf has produced over two hundred dances since 1994, mostly in Victoria, with his Upbeat Waves of World Fusion, World Beat, Folk Fusion, House, Hip Hop, Dub, Reggae, Electronica, Down Tempo etc.


MARCH 26: Parents & Tots

All caregivers and little ones (ages 0 to 4+) are invited to drop in for playtime and community connection.
Every Tuesday from 10:30 to 12:30 at Manson’s Hall, Main Hall.

MARCH 27: T’ai Chi Ch’uan

T’ai Chi Ch’uan is a low-impact exercise that is ideal for seniors. These slow, gentle movements can improve balance, strength, flexibility, and range of motion and decrease the effects of common degenerative diseases and pains. It is a standing/moving exercise that can be done anywhere, anytime and doesn’t need special clothing or shoes.

Judyth Weaver received permission to teach TCC from the school of Grand Master Cheng Man-Ch’ing in 1971, and she has been teaching it regularly around the world since then.

The class will be offered on Wednesdays, from 11 am till noon in the Om Studio. (PLEASE NOTE – NEW DAY of the week AND new TIME!)

The classes are free. Donations to the CISS are welcome.

MARCH 27: Drumming with Pawl

Pawl Khan is back with his weekly all-levels drum class featuring African rhythms and techniques. You will improve your technique, have fun and experience the many health benefits of drumming in a circle. Pawl has decades of experience as a world-class drummer and instructor.

In the Om Studio, Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:45

$12 drop in
$40 for 4 classes

Come warm up with some social time and a free community meal.

MARCH 28: Poetry & Song Share

Come join us for the third Poetry and Song Share event! From 7 - 8:30pm. Hosted by Louis Belcourt, in the Pioneer Room.
A monthly gathering to share writing + listen to other islanders’ creative pieces. You are welcome to invite feedback - or not - whatever feels best. Everybody is welcome, whether you are sharing or not :)
