Good afternoon,

I’m reaching out to the community regarding an abandoned vessel at Sutil Point, Cortes Island. The vessel appears to be falling apart in its current location. I have had contractors out there doing some cleanup, and I attempted to have it removed from the shore to be disposed of. However, based on its status and location it would be extremely costly to remove by barge. Many contractors have recommended the best way to have it removed would be cutting it up by a land operation. I don’t know if the community has any contacts or recommendations for such a project, or any connections to get this done. At this point it is becoming too costly for TC to take the full action on. Please let me know if you have any thoughts or ability to remove dispose of this vessel by land.
