There will be tree planting and ongoing silviculture work taking place in the community forest starting in mid-March.

There will also be a second leg of road built in the Gorge Harbour Operating Area this spring. This next section of road is part of the longer term plan to develop access and create a firebreak in the area as per the 2020 Community Wildfire Protection Plan.

Logs from the road will go supply orders for saw logs from local mills, and a community firewood day will be organized to distribute the firewood at the end of the project.
