FEB 2, 5 & 7: Julie’s Café

Julie’s Café will be open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7am-2pm. Eat in or take out, Julie and Sandy serve breakfast, soups and sandwiches, and baked treats. Cash only please! C'mon down to Mansons Hall for this sweet community café.


FEB 2: Friday Market

Our weekly Friday Market takes place every Friday afternoon from 12 to 3 PM in the Main Hall. The market features a wide variety of Cortesian vendors with such rare treats to offer such as freshly-made pasta, baked goods, fresh sushi, artisan soaps, natural beauty products, handmade clothing and BC-harvested fish! Come on out and support your local vendors; this is one of the island's most-beloved weekly events.


FEB 2: Thrift Store

The SCCA Thrift Store is open during the Friday Market 12-3 pm with plenty of gently-used clothing items for the entire family to choose from. You will find it down the hall to the Pioneer Room. All items are sold by a suggested donation to the SCCA.


FEB 2: Documentary Journey Through Climate Awareness

FEB 4&8: Yoga with Kelly

Kelly Benson is offering three yoga classes weekly at Mansons Hall:

Vinyasa Flow Sundays 11:00 am and Thursdays 5:30 pm, and Seniors Yoga Thursdays at 11:00 am. All classes are in the Om Studio. For more info email kbrock55yahoo.ca


FEB 6: Parents & Tots

All caregivers and little ones (ages 0 to 4+) are invited to drop in for playtime and community connection.
Every Tuesday from 10:30 to 12:30 at Manson’s Hall, Main Hall.

FEB 6: Baby Time!

All caregivers and babies (ages 0- 1+) are welcome to drop in for community connection and in a bright, warm space. This weekly offering will hold a supportive space for babies between 12:30 and 2:00 on Tuesdays.

Free, by donation. Location: Mansons Hall, Main Hall.
Baby Time! will follow the Parents and Tots program, and you are welcome to come for that as well.


FEB 6: Sew Much More

On Tuesdays from 2-5pm in the Om Studio, Marnie Andrews and Cora Moret run a practical sewing clinic, wherein participants will learn basic repair skills and sewing techniques! Youth welcome, and children under 10 with an adult. You are invited to bring in your sewing projects for help with either repairs or with creating something new. We have supplies, equipment and expertise.


FEB 8: Free Community Lunch

Come warm up with some social time and a free community meal.
