WHALETOWN COMMUNITY CLUB
GENERAL MEETING
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 12TH, 2024
7 P.M. AT THE GORGE HALL
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and vote on updating the Constitution and Bylaws of the Organization as follows:
· Modify Bylaw Section 2[c] to include reference to Arts and Entertainment/Music / Culture
- This change is proposed in order to gain access (eligibility to apply) to additional grants and funding to support these programs
- (Section 2 [c] currently reads: “to promote all manner of recreation and to provide and foster athletic and sports activities for the benefit of all”)
· Remove Bylaw 8[e] which reads: “All payments shall be made by cheque”
- (This change is proposed in order to bring this outdated bylaw up to date - to allow the WCC to pay invoices etc. by electronic means including e-transfer)
