Free Educational Series from the Cortes Island Deathcaring Collective - Part 1 - Rescheduled

The Legal Documents - will, power of attorney, representation agreement with notary public Sally Houghton.

Been procrastinating? Feeling stuck? Know you need to get your ducks in a row like the rest of us but could use a bit of real practical support?

Join us Saturday, February 10th at the Linnaea Education Centre in the Lakeview Room for a free presentation at 10:30, followed by a FREE lunch and then a working session at 1:00. Free on-site childcare will be provided as this is relevant to any living human, including parents and guardians of minor children who need to name a guardian in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Sally Houghton received her Masters in Applied Legal Studies from Simon Fraser University in 2021, and then completed the necessary training and mentoring to become a notary public. Prior to that, she received her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Science and Astrophysics from the University of New South Wales in Australia. While her background in science may seem unrelated to notary work, she believes that it has helped her approach her work with a logical and analytical mindset, which is essential for ensuring that all documents are handled correctly and accurately.
