This is the first of four sessions to take place on the third Tuesday of the month, January to April, in the Pioneer Room of the Manson’s Hall, from 1:00 - 2:30 pm.
On Tuesday, Jan 16th, 1:00 - 2:30 pm, the session will be "What to do in the first hours and days after someone dies". We will watch videos, reflect, and have an opportunity to integrate the learning by participating in discussions. Both the practical and spiritual aspects of the liminal period between the processes of death and burial or cremation will be explored. These workshops will be prerequisite training for those who wish to be considered Cortes DeathCaring Collective death doulas, and 'Care of the Body' volunteers.
Everyone is welcome, including those already or wanting to learn more about volunteering with the Collective.
